Associate Professor & Chair, Department of Philosophy, CSU Long Beach

My research interests are split between normative ethics and the philosophy of language. In particular I have interests in quotation and reporting practices, the metaphysics of language and linguistic entities, and pragmatics; I have also written on the obligations of parents to care for their children, and on autonomy and objectification.
